Are you tired of seeing the iPhone like the default choice of people when it comes to smartphones?  Then you have to take a peek at the newest offering of Verizon from HTC called the HTC Thunderbolt Phone.  What makes this smartphone a cut above the rest is the introduction of 4G LTE network. This network promises blazing speeds that will teach you to forget how snail paced things used to be.  By default, Verizon has stated that the data downlink side of the LTE network will be from 5 to 10 Mbps and about 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink side.

That by far is a very fast network for data indeed!  Recently they have added several cities to be covered by their 4G network and by the end of the year it is not improbable for them to reach their goal of 147 cities coverage by the end of this year.  That my friends, is just ONE of the few things you will get with HTC Thunderbolt Phone.

Looking at the phone upfront, you will be welcomed by a 4.3-inch WVGA screen that is generous enough for your fingers to navigate through the phone. The phone’s build is sturdy and weighs about 5.78 ounces, which tells you this is not your typical cheap smartphone knockoff.  The proprietary HTC kickstand allows you to view videos on this thing without touching it.  For those who wants to impress friends and colleagues this model has a DLNA connection which allows you to channel the contents of the phone’s screen to an HDTV wirelessly!  This makes it a truly mobile wonder.

It has dual cameras located at the front and at the back. The back camera is powered by an 8 Megapixel shooter with dual led flash.  It runs on a 1Ghz cpu and an Andreno 205 GPU to get things interesting.  It also has 768 of RAM and about 40 GB of storage enough to get you going for a very long time. Initial tests show that this smartphone is one speed devil.  Which brings to point the battery it comes along with is rated at 1400 mAh.  Pundits say you have to be prepared to carry an extra battery -- just in case.

The HTC Thunderbolt Phone is big on features and it can truly be considered as an iPhone competitor with its ease of use and a plethora of skill sets that has not been found in any smartphone as of this writing.  If you are ready to pay the price and still  want to be different yet functional, then this smartphone may just be the right one for you.
