HTC Inspire 4G (AT&T). Cheapest Price. $165. No Contract.
The new HTC Inspire is AT&T first 4G smart phone. Reviewers concluded that the cost of $99 with a contract is an excellent value for ultra high-end capabilities that compete with the iphone 4 in certain aspects. Reviewers loved the excellent voice quality and image quality. Reviewers admired several components of the new HTC Sense, although it was deemed bloatware by some.

The 4.3" display size on the HTC Inspire 4G should make it ideal for watching videos even though it does not have a kickstand and DLNA-out connection.
The cpu scored the highest benchmarks for just about any single-core processor. Network data transfer rates were just okay and only about 50-60% faster than AT&T's 3G network. Battery life might be consumed by Wi-Fi use and might not make it through a full day without recharging due to a smaller capacity battery.
The HTC Inspire runs on Android 2.2 with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and a 8MP camera, 4GB of internal storage, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, G-sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor. It supports HSPA+ 4G and WiFi. When it was launched, it had been revealed that it's going to be upgraded to Android 2.3 Gingerbread in the near future.
Bonnie Cha at CNET scored the HTC Inspire 4G 4 out of 5. She liked the very affordable price tag which has a large toucscreen, Android 2.2, the speedier HSPA+ data, the all new HTC Sense, and superb picture quality with the 8MP camera. She thought that the Inspire 4G is a little heavy and that the battery cover is difficult to remove. There's no front-facing camera. She considers the HTC Inspire 4G one of AT&T's best high-end Android cell phones for a terrific value with plenty of bang for your buck. HTC Sense is faster and allows the phone to boot up quicker. CNET averaged download speeds of 1.38Mbps and upload speeds of .15Mbps, which is slower than T-Mobile's 4G. Call quality was very good. The speakerphone didn't produce good sound. Hotspot used up the battery.
Sascha Segan at PCMag rated the HTC Inspire 4G 4 out of 5 for its low price, power, built-in apps and features. He didn't like that the 4G speeds were average as well as the Android customization. He believed that the HTC Inspire 4G can keep up with the iPhone 4. He notes that the HTC Inspire 4G might be too big for smaller hands. It has a little bit more dropped calls compared to the iPhone 4. Voice quality was good and worked well with Bluetooth. The HSPA+ data transfer rates were a little bit faster than the iPhone with about 1.5Mbps down for the Inspire and 1Mbps lower for the iPhone. The cpu had a greater benchmark score than any other single-core processor thus far. HTC Sense included a dedicated media player, priority sender features for incoming e-mail, and simple posting of pictures to Facebook and Flickr. The images taken with the Inspire was top notch. He preferred it over the Samsung Captivate.
Aaron Baker at Phone Dog liked the HTC Inspire 4G due to the new HTC Sense 2., its price tag, and large touchscreen, calling it "a cool" device. He was impressed with the metal unibody form factor design. The only negative is that the 1230 mAH battery holds less power than the HTC EVO, so you may want an additional battery (same as HTC HD7). He would have liked to see a shortcut button for the camera and a HDMI output. The power button is recessed and a somewhat hard to turn on and off. The new release of HTC Sense allows you to call the phone, wipe data, and access to HTC Hub. Wi-Fi hotpsot is great to see included. You can't remove AT&T apps and can't install non-market apps. There are pre-made HTC widgets. You will find Gmail improvements with additional buttons.
